Since it is usual to blame the South African Police for every crime committed in our society, I would like to thank the police for the recent drug bust in Durban.
The R3 billion in drugs that have been uncovered in an upmarket residential area in Durban is notable. While it is logical that those involved could not be exposed in the media as yet, we look forward to seeing their pictures in the future. The idea is to identify the kingpins and the low level operatives so that society may ostracize them and their families as a general warning to others.
Society, the media and the police should show no mercy to those who are determined to destroy our new democracy for their own material benefit.
