MEET MOGAMAT SALIEG CADER
Born in Cape Town and raised in Manenberg, I matriculated from Oaklands High School in 1991 and obtained a Diploma in Management Accounting and Finance from Damelin College in 1994.
In 1998, after getting married, I moved to Mitchells Plain — and that community became my home.
For more than two decades, I have lived, worked and served in our communities, gaining experience in finance, business, education, fundraising, youth development and community service.
I am currently one subject away from completing my Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree through UNISA, with studies including Constitutional Law, Fundamental Rights, Administrative Law, International Law, and distinctions across several law subjects.
Since 2017, I have served as Financial Manager at Darul Arqam Islamic High School, where I have been involved in financial management, fundraising, development and creating educational opportunities for needy, orphaned and destitute learners.
I have also been involved in youth development, mosque governance, fundraising and community and relief organisations.
WHY CMC?
I believe the Cape Muslim community deserves a dedicated political voice that understands our history, values, institutions and challenges.
CMC gives our community that voice — while working for fairness, accountability, dignity and better service delivery for ALL.
WHY I AM STANDING
I know where we come from. I understand our challenges. And I believe we deserve better.
Politics must be about service, accountability and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
REAL REPRESENTATION. REAL ACCOUNTABILITY. REAL CHANGE.
