Zionist behind major conflicts. – Argus , Thursday, 31 January 2013
In response to Rodney Mazinter {Blurring the lines between insanity and terrorism, Jan 22} I suggest that Rodney considers that conspiracy theories are often based on the interpretation of actual events.
In “Killing Hope” William Blum describes how the United States and its allies destabilised and invaded the sovereignty of more than 55 countries since WW II. Many of these were Muslim majority states. According to the George Bush doctrine, “If you harbour terrorist, you’re a terrorist; if you aid and abet terrorists, you’re a terrorist”. In “Hegemony or Survival” Noam Chomsky states “In Sept 2002 the Bush administration announced its National Security Strategy, which declared the right to resort to force to eliminate any perceived challenge to US global hegemony, which is to be permanent”. Using this logic US incursions into sovereign states in my opinion generally fits the description of “terrorist behaviour”.
Consequently, in the Muslim world there exists an opinion that major international conflicts are usually orchestrated in the vested interest of a small but dominant oligarchy of Zionists and Materialists. Via a mixture of political campaign contributions and blackmail the oligarchy influences the political systems of the US and other western states. The recent nomination of Chuck Hagel as US Defence Secretary was a typical case in point. Hagel were accused of anti-Semitism for saying that “the Jewish lobby” intimidated members of the US Congress. To secure his nomination against the smear campaign Hagel declared his “unequivocal and total support for Israel”. According to Aaron Miller a scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center, “Hagel was stating the obvious. The pro-Israel community has a strong voice and members of Congress know how powerful the pro-Israel community is, they’re just not willing to admit it publicly, let alone challenge it. Hagel is one of the few who does”. Before Hillary Clinton was elected to the US Senate; she also experienced Zionist pressure because of her friendship with the wife of the murdered PLO leader, Yasser Arafat and her support of Palestinian issues. To ingratiate herself with the Zionist lobby, Hillary went against US policy by stating that Jerusalem not Tel Aviv becomes the capital of Israel.
Furthermore, in “The Crisis of Zionism”, Peter Beinart Associate Professor of Journalism and Political Science at the University of New York explains the danger to Israeli democracy and the American Jewish establishment’s refusal to confront it. Beinart also describes Barack Obama as America’s first “Jewish President,” steeped in the liberalism he learned from his many Jewish friends and mentors in Chicago; and Benjamin Netanyahu, who considers liberalism the Jewish people’s special curse.
In conclusion, Zionist like Rodney Mazinter should consider if it is acceptable and ethical that a community which represents less than 2% of the US and less than 0.02% of the world population should publically humiliate and intimidate US and other world leaders? Since the Zionist lobby is obviously dominant, why do they not use their influence positively to promote global peace or at least protect the environment for future generations? Why is the defence of a militaristic and expansionist Israel the only concern?
