The letter “Religion to blame for men’s misogynistic views” August 16, is a childish outburst.
From the comfort of a mansion in Llandudno overlooking a lavish ambiance, Gary James regularly expresses his hate for the Almighty Creator. His contempt for Christianity and Islam is legendary. Oddly he refrains from insulting Judaism, possibly afraid of the Anti-Semitic card that gets played.
His letter is incoherent and uses my letter “Parents must espouse solid values to kids” August 15 as an opportunity to attack the Abrahamic faiths. He has no solutions and only expresses contempt for the beliefs of two thirds of the global population who worship the God of Abraham. He fails to express sympathy for abused women or the poor and has no alternative to the Abrahamic faiths.
Does he know that most South African emancipators who fought colonial and Apartheid cruelty were educated at missionary schools? Historically most freedom formations that fought against global slavery and against economic tyranny have their origins in Abrahamic religious activism.
Today, most influential global charities are rooted in the Muslim, Christian and Jewish communities.
In the words of the wise, what benefit have those who deny the Creator, added towards humanity?
