Drunk driving increases petrol price
Petrol price increases are mainly based on two points of origin which are political.
The first group liable for petrol price increases are beyond our reach. They include the USA, Britain and their allies who literally own the oil industry and decide from whom we can buy oil etc.
The second group liable for petrol price increases are the stupid people who govern this nation. They are liable as they are unable to stop the ruin of our infrastructure or provide options to improve.
Example, our railway network was reduced by 50% since Apartheid. Much is stolen or damaged. This is political, as the faction that did not get the security contract, allowed the ruin to happen. Whilst locals were forced into house arrest under Covid lockdown, crooks roamed free and stole the railway infrastructure. Train carriages and platforms were destroyed to guarantee the collapse of the railway system. Only politicians, criminals and the taxi industry can benefit from the ruin of the railway.
Within this wholesale ruin, no major arrests resulted and folk must use cars as buses are targeted.
Drunk driving which “consumes” the Road Accident Fund (RAF) budget, is an endless pit. Since it seems that our judiciary and liquor industry work together to protect drunk driving, tax on petrol will increase. In South Africa, drunk driving is a kind of “authorized murder” as there is no consequences.
Mark my words, those 21 teens who died in that tavern in the Eastern Cape, nobody will go to jail.
Those mangled, paralysed or killed by drunks will increase as drunkards are not liable as the tax on petrol, pay for everything. Annually more people are killed on South African roads compared to the number of people killed globally by terrorists and possibly the war in Ukraine, Syria, and Yemen etc.
Since we are govern by people who permit criminals to steal and damage our railway network and burn buses and allow drunks to maim and kill, the petrol price will always increase.
I suggests that those vandalising or stealing anything to do with the transport network must receive an automatic 10 year prison term. This includes cable theft, burning trains, buses and drunk driving.
Also, foreigners legally or illegally should not be allowed to claim from “RAF”. Why must taxpayers cover the cost of foreigners who should have insurance from their own nation? Example, some time ago a European man was badly injured by a taxi in Stellenbosch. The RAF paid R500 million and the reckless rubbish taxi driver walked away a free man.
How in Gods Holy name can this be justice?
